Schools play a central role in identifying students who benefit from added structure and mentorship after school hours. Smartbox provides a referral pathway where guidance staff, teachers, and school social workers can connect youth to our program with ease. We coordinate with school teams, support academic goals, and provide consistent attendance feedback when appropriate. Schools gain a reliable partner who can help strengthen student engagement and reinforce the habits needed for success during the day.
Smartbox collaborates with youth workers, settlement agencies, sports groups, and after school programs to support young people who require consistency and a positive environment outside their home and school. Our program is built to complement the work already being done in the community by offering a high intensity, mentorship driven outlet that helps stabilize routines, improve emotional wellbeing, and create continuity across services.
Access to healthy food is a core part of our model. Partners like 5N2 ensure that every participant receives a fresh meal each session and learns about daily nutrition habits that support energy, focus, and long term wellness. Future food partners, caterers, and community kitchen programs can strengthen this essential component of Smartbox through in kind support or scalable meal delivery.
Smartbox works with counsellors, mental health agencies, tutoring providers, colleges, and post secondary institutions to integrate direct support into the program. Partners contribute through counselling sessions, volunteer tutors, practicum placements, or academic mentorship that helps participants build stronger school engagement. Centennial College and others can provide ongoing student placements that bring fresh energy and specialized support into the program.
Organizations that want to invest in meaningful local impact can support Smartbox through funding, resource sharing, mentorship, or volunteer engagement. Smartbox offers a direct pathway to measurable youth outcomes in attendance, wellness, and long term development. Corporate partners can also collaborate through career exposure for older youth, workforce readiness, and placement opportunities in partnership with Arrow Group.
Partnering with Smartbox amplifies the collective effort to support young people in Scarborough by connecting school day support with structured after school engagement. Together, we create stronger attendance patterns, more stable routines, safer environments, and long term opportunities for youth who benefit from consistent investment.
Our shared commitment ensures that each young person receives the structure and encouragement they deserve, building confidence and resilience that carries into school, community life, and future pathways.
